The Fifteen Factor Questionnaire+ (15FQ+™) is the latest questionnaire built on 50 years of pioneering research by the eminent psychologist, Ray Cattell.
It provides an in-depth view of personality and overcomes many of the limitations of other sixteen factor questionnaires, not least by providing an independent measure of ‘intellectance’ (confidence in intellectual abilities) rather than ability per se. As with other contemporary questionnaires it also maps onto the Five Factor Model:
- Openness: Pragmatism-Openness;
- Conscientiousness: Low self-control –High self-control;
- Extraversion: Introversion – Extraversion;
- Agreeableness: Independence-Agreeableness;
- Neuroticism: Low Anxiety-High Anxiety.
The 16 factors measured by the 15FQ+™ paint a detailed picture of the ‘bright side’ of a person’s personality: what they are usually like. They can also be used to provide additional information on things like team role, leadership and negotiating style.
