How I work

I work on a face to face basis from my practice near Maidenhead in Berkshire using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/Coaching as a main tool to help people overcome their negative thoughts, emotions and behaviours and learn to be more positive and constructive in their life at home and work. CBT typically takes 4-6 sessions of 50 minutes each and I meet with people every 3-4 weeks giving them time to complete simple homework assignments in between such as reading articles, listening to relaxation tapes I provide, or noticing or practicing a technique we have discussed. My clients have really good success rates – I also offer mentoring and help with business specifics such as working on presentation skills. I work with you to decide on your preferred approach and find most people really enjoy the process we undertake together and make great progress once they have decided to work on themselves.

I work with people at all levels of business, of all ages, but mainly with women with anxiety in their 20’s and 30’s. I have a friendly informal empathetic style and as I’ve worked in both small and large companies for over 30 years I have a good understanding of how to help overcome most issues in the workplace – stress, bullying, presentations, imposter syndrome, communicating, assertiveness, managing people to name a few. Some quotes…

“I didn’t think I could overcome my anxiety yet you changed my life. I can’t thank you enough” CT – Care assistant at Dog Centre

“I really value the work that you do and would not hesitate to recommend you in the future. The service that you provide gives me an opportunity to offer things that are outside of the box”. RF – Learning and Development Officer

“I have to say that the presentation went really well – and I have no doubt that this was due to your help in giving me the techniques to manage my nerves. I’ve had some really positive feedback from both my colleagues in Marketing and members of the audience, who said that I came across as a confident presenter….Thanks again so much for your help – it really did make a huge difference”.
TW – Corporate Brand Manager

“The directors have had an almost evangelical change in their approach and rapid action has taken place to address some of the issues”. Director of Corporate Communications – International Financial Investments Company
