The British Psychological Society (BPS) operates a certification system for
those who wish to become qualified users of psychometric tests. Normally,
in order to purchase a specific test from the distributor, you will need
to demonstrate that your are qualified at the appropriate level.
The BPS certification system is based on two levels:
- Level A which covers basic principles in psychometric testing and qualifies
you to use ability and aptitude tests
- Level B which covers personality testing and is divided into two stages:
Level B Intermediate and Level B Full. In order to attain Level B certification,
you must already have become qualified at Level A
