We all know that behaviour is a product of who we are and the circumstances in which we operate. And yet most psychometric tools ignore this fact. Ours acknowledge that you cannot simply take what you do in a typical situation as a measure of how you are always likely to think, feel and react.
So what we do is to provide three insightful and interlocking perspectives:
This is what makes us different and is at the core of what we call Type Mapping.
Type Mapping is an integrated approach based on one comprehensive model, Psychological Type. It brings together individuals (their preferences, identity and aspirations), situations (the context, demands and challenges) and the space in-between (interaction, behaviour and relationships). The mapping can then take place using five ‘lenses’; a level of sophistication that allows for enormous flexibility in terms of intervention and development.
Each of the lenses is embodied in a questionnaire:
And as you can see the LSI and TDI® look at the ‘inside’, the ITPQ™ at the ‘outside’, and the MTR-i™ at the ‘in-between’.

Type Mapping as a diagnostic tool
Another way of looking at Type Mapping is as a diagnostic. For example, when considering teams, it can address four important questions:
In summary, Type Mapping provides a way to chart the important elements that contribute to personal performance, and team and organisational performance, using a powerful and integrated model. It effectively becomes a process in which successive perspectives build on what went before, thus maximising individual and team development over time.
