Our flexible approach can be adapted to formal groups; ad-hoc project-based teams
and more informal working networks and virtual teams. We work in partnership with
you to establish the team's purpose and issues.
Using a combination of individual
sessions, questionnaires, psychometrics and 400 Degree Feedback, we can help establish
the performance challenges and describe the team dynamics. This sets the agenda for
appropriate interventions.
We are not wedded to the "take-them-away" event although
this can be effective if the timing is right.
We will use a variety of approaches to
build the climate, energy and behaviours characteristic of high-performance teams.
Our models and theories of team behaviour are always linked to under-lying motivations
and explicit behaviours.
We will use simulated events but usually include the team's
real-life work requirements as well. A good "team building event" needs to consist
of the right input at the right time with appropriate work relevance. The key is
good follow-through rather than a temporary "buzz".
